How to Book an Appointment

Before we can book an appointment for you, we will need a requisition from any Physician or Specialist. You or your physician can fax the requisition to our office. We will contact you once we have reviewed your requisition to book your appointment.

Image One MRI Clinic accepts Visa, Master Card, Debit and Cash.

What You Need to Know Before Your Appointment

Orbital x-rays must be obtained prior to your appointment if you work or have worked around metal finishing or grinding equipment. It is very important that the eyes are free of any metallic particles. This also applies to people who do any type of metalwork as a hobby.

You cannot receive an MRI if you have any of the following:

  • Cardiac Pacemaker
  • External Pacer Wires
  • Cochlear Implants
  • Implanted Hearing Aids
  • Aneurysm Clips
  • Weight exceeds 350lbs
  • Patients under the age of 16 who would require sedation or the injection of a contrast agent

Your MRI Appointment

No special preparation is needed for your MRI. Eat and take any prescribed medication as usual, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

When you arrive for your MRI appointment, you will need to fill out some information and watch a short video on MRI and what you can expect during your exam. You will then be shown to a change room where some comfortable loungewear will be provided, or if you wish, you can bring your own metal free clothing.

Once changed, you will be positioned on a comfortable padded table by our MRI technologist. As your exam begins, this table will move into the wide opening of our MRI system. We will ask you to remain as still as possible during the exam to ensure the best quality images.

The MRI exam itself is painless, you won't feel a thing. The machine does make a loud knocking noise as each image is taken. We will provide you with our MRI compatible headphones, which help block out the noise and allow you to listen to a selection of music, or in some cases we will provide you with earplugs.

The length of your exam will depend on the type of study your doctor has ordered. In many cases, MRI patients are scanned and on their way home within an hour. Our Radiologist will review the images from your exam and a detailed report of the findings will be faxed to your Physician within 2 business days.

Because Image One MRI's Radiologist is not familiar with your complete medical history, it is in the best interest of the patient to discuss your diagnostic imaging needs and exam results with your own doctor. There will not be an opportunity during your appointment for a consultation with our Radiologist.

If you have any previous exam results, X-Ray films or CD's that will pertain to your MRI exam, please bring them with you to your appointment.
