Home > Physicians > Booking Procedure Image One MRI Booking Procedure1. Physician completes requisition with patient present to determine the patient's medical appropriateness. Absolute contraindications include:
**If your patient has had a previous MRI or CT, please let us know so we can obtain reports and/or films before their appointment with Image One MRI. 2. MRI clinic should be consulted if the patient has any of the following:
* Patients with history of welding, metal grinding, metal fragments in eye, must have plain orbit film completed and report sent to MRI clinic before appointment can be made. * Previous studies (CT, previous MR, Radiographic) on same segment requisitioned, should be sent to clinic where possible. Patient can carry with or can be sent to MRI clinic ahead of appointment. Note: We do not scan patients under the age of 16 who require sedation (diazepam or anxiolytic) or a contrast agent. 3. Physicians fax requisition to Image One MRI. 4. Upon receipt of the fax, we will contact the patient to:
5. Scan is performed. 6. A CD copy of the exam will be given to the patient. 7. The Radiologist's report will be faxed to the referring physician within two business days after the appointment. The Radiologist does not discuss the findings with the patient. Third party payers will need to provide a release of information form signed by patient to receive a copy of reports. |
